Only you and your friends see your content. At HOOPT, privacy is at the core of everything we do. Your personal information, collections, and activities are completely under your control, and we never share them with third parties or advertisers.
Who Sees My Stuff:
- 100% Opt-In: You fully control who sees your profile, collections, and activities. No one can view or track your data without your explicit permission (i.e., “add” or “accept” friends).
- Only Your Friends: Your collections and activities are only visible to the friends you add.
- Why Ali is Your Friend: Ali, our CEO, connects with you first to welcome and guide you. Once you start adding items and inviting your tribe, you can adjust your connections.
- Solo Use: If you prefer to use HOOPT only for yourself, simply unfriend Ali, and literally no one will be able to see your data.
Key Privacy Features:
- No Strangers, No Followers: HOOPT ensures a private network of trusted connections. You won’t encounter random followers or strangers browsing your profile. Your trusted friends are your media and influencers.
- Secure Messaging: Your messages within HOOPT are entirely private, visible only to you and your trusted connections. We, at HOOPT, do not have access to your messages or data for any reason, including product design, tracking, or AI training purposes.
- Private Notes: You can keep personal notes on your items, visible only to you.
